THE SERVICES STREAMLINE CARPET CARE PROVIDES
TRUCK MOUNTED WATER EXTRACTION SYSTEM
"Hot Water Extraction" or "Steam Cleaning" is the cleaning method recommended by nearly all carpet manufacturers and carpet fiber producers. This is the only cleaning method classified as "deep cleaning". All the other carpet cleaning methods are considered "light surface cleaning"because they are incapable of removing soil deep within the pile. Also, all other methods leave large amounts of cleaning agent in the carpet after cleaning.
This method is frequently called "steam" cleaning due to the fine spray of water. This process consists of spraying a solution of water and sometimes a cleaning solution into the carpet pile and recovering the water and soil with a powerful vacuum into a holding tank. This can be done from a truck-mounted system outside the home with only the hose and floor tool brought inside the home or office.
Our hot water extraction process is the process most carpet manufacturers recommend. Hot water steam allows for cleaning to penetrate deep down. The extraction then vacuum the dirt and germs up with the steam and hot water. This leaves your carpet only damp and will dry much quicker than other methods of carpet cleaning such as home carpet cleaners. Pressure and heat are regulated so that carpet is not over-moistened. We clean with steam temperature between 180°F–190°F.
Microfiber couches and furniture are becoming ever more popular. They are usually stain resistant, but can still get dirty over time. All upholstered furniture will become soiled through use. Most spills & soil on fabric protection treated upholstery will clean easily and quickly provided that the proper cleaning procedures are followed. A fabric protection application is not an absolute impenetrable barrier and improper cleaning methods can damage both the fabric and the treatment. We recommend vacuuming and spot cleaning as often as possible. Rotate all loose cushions frequently to assure even wear. In between your spot cleaning we can steam clean your upholstery to make it look new again at the same time we come out and clean your carpet. The steam cleaning methods works the same on upholstery. In fact, since the system as a strong vacuum it will pull out more moisture than if you clean it yourself. It will dry quicker.
Our carpet cleaners are trained in complete carpet care, the chemistry of spot and stain removal, and keep up-to-date on manufacturer cleaning recommendations. Please be sure to point out spots or stains to the technician. The technician will assess the best method for getting the the out.
Vacuuming and cleaning stairs are not easy. But stairs are a high traffic area and become very dirty. Let us steam clean your stairs while we are on your visit. For particularly dirty or stained carpet ask for cleaning solution to be used in addition to the steam cleaning. If there are spots or ground-in dirt and soil the deep steam methods works great to get them out and cleans spots before they have an opportunity to become a permanent stain. After that, add the protect-ant to help keep your stairs cleaner longer.
Ask the technician who comes to your appointment to help guide you for the best solutions for your home. He is there to help assess your carpet situation. Maybe that spot is not as permanent as you think it is and spot remover may not be necessary. But definitely point out your concerns to the technician.
